About Our Company
The Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group is an aptly named organization. Business partners David Fee and Jim Hedrick founded the Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group in 1995. After meeting at Magic World of Pigeon Forge in 1979, (Fee a magician and Hedrick a juggler), entertaining at two World’s Fairs and subsequently working over 11 years as senior management for Carnival Cruise Lines, the two friends returned home to East Tennessee. Since then their organization has evolved from a two-man dream to one of the premier show production companies in the Southeast that includes three major theaters, nine shows and a restaurant.
Over time the company’s foundation in both family and entertainment has been personified in the leadership of its owners, David Fee and Jim Hedrick. The entertainer in Fee and the comedian in Hedrick have not ceased in their quest to entertain.
Fee/Hedrick has produced many shows in Pigeon Forge for millions of visitors and is one of Pigeon Forge’s most successful businesses. The company currently owns and produces many shows in the Smoky Mountain area including: “The Comedy Barn®,” “The Smoky Mountain Opry™,” “The Hatfield and McCoy Dinner and Feud™,” and “Magic Beyond Belief™” starring Darren Romeo.
In November and December, the company presents “Christmas at the Smoky Mountain Opry,™” “The Hatfield and McCoy Christmas Disaster Dinner Feud™”, “The Comedy Barn® Christmas Show” and “Magic Beyond Belief Christmas Show.” In addition, the company produces a seasonal “Amazing Animals®” Show in the summer at The Comedy Barn® Theater. All of the current shows are in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., however they have just recently purchased a theater in Branson, Missouri as well.
In all their ventures, David Fee and Jim Hedrick are hands on leaders. They are intensely involved in the operations of all their properties, maintaining the same spirit of involvement they began with at the Comedy Barn over 24 years ago. They believe the key to their success has been a sincere desire to make their guests happy. Their goal is to provide each visitor with exceptional value: great shows, great food, and wonderful service.
The vision of David Fee and Jim Hedrick is to provide visitors to the Smoky Mountains a variety of ever changing theatrical entertainment experiences which combine music, dancing, magic, food, and clean comedy for families of all ages. Their goal is “To Sell Fun” by staging productions that are must see attractions for all visitors to the area and that exceed customer expectations.
