“We are thankful for the people of Sevier County who have supported our shows by bringing their friends and relatives throughout the years,” said theater owner David Fee. “We want to recognize how important Sevier County support has been in making our theaters successful.”
Jim Hedrick, sr. vice president of Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group, said, “We are very proud of all of our shows but especially our Comedy Barn show. The Comedy Barn Theater is the clean comedy capitol of America and has been making millions of people laugh for over 23 years. We challenge folks to find any other show in the world that makes you laugh as hard as this one.”
“Indeed, the Comedy Barn Theater is the largest and most successful clean comedy theater in the world today,” Fee said. “The Comedy Barn features a wide range of entertainment, such as incredible jugglers, magicians, singers, trained animals and some of the best comedians in the nation!
“Then there is our ‘Hatfield and McCoy Christmas Disaster Dinner Feud,’” Fee said. “At this show things can get ugly pretty quickly, as neither family stops their feudin’ for Christmas, but fortunately for you it is all part of the fun! The plot of this dinner show is loosely based on the most famous of all family feuds, and it is a show packed with comedy, drama, a little singing, lots of clogging and some of the best bluegrass music you will ever hear!”
Hedrick said, “Before the tussle begins onstage you will be chowing down on a mountain feast of ‘fuedin’ fried chicken, ‘pulled to pieces’ pit barbeque, corn on the cob, Ma’s creamy vegetable soup, ‘smashed-mashed’ taters, coleslaw, bread and Ma’s specialty dessert. A vegetarian option is available. You will get all you can eat and your fill of coke products, tea or coffee.”
Fee said, “Who knows, a Hatfield or McCoy couzin may even offer you some of their own moonshine from their secret family recipe!”
“Then there is the amazing ‘Christmas at The Smoky Mountain Opry’ show at the Smoky Mountain Opry Theater with some very talented singers, dancers, aerialists, and an amazing juggler,” Hedrick said. “This year’s show features the biggest cast ever, as well as stunning new costumes and new musical arrangements. Come enjoy the music of the holiday season accompanied by the Smoky Mountain orchestra. We have new Country Christmas and Winter Wonderland sections of the show this year. Come see our living nativity, Santa Claus and his elves, toys that come to life and Frosty the snowman.
“And finally, our ‘Smith Morning Variety Christmas Show’ is a musical revue and comedy show,” Fee said. “It features Charlie Bob Smith, a well-known, long-time local entertainer. He has a mix of country, pop and gospel hits that he brings to the stage as well as his world class impersonations.
“We hope Sevier County residents will come take advantage of our exceptional Sevier County Day prices and come enjoy all of our unique spectacular shows,” Fee said. “Yes, it is possible to see them all!”
