Linda Nell Cooper , Director of Theater Arts from Liberty University, is writing the original script that will become the dramatic theatrical production. A graduate of Liberty University, Cooper holds a Masters of Arts in Humanities from Hollins University, and has completed her ABD of her PhD. from the University of Virginia. She is an award winning theatrical playwright with extensive performance and writing experience.

Composer, David Legg, also a graduate of Liberty University with a Masters of Arts in Musical Theater Performance from New York University, is creating the original musical score that will set the tone for the entire production. Legg’s experience as a performer gives him an edge when it comes to the communication aspect of music composition. He has been affiliated with performances on Broadway, and has performed at Carnegie Hall for Steven Spielberg and Robert DeNiro.

John Mark Painter of Nashville, TN will oversee all orchestral arrangements for The Miracle. Painter, who studied Music Composition at Belmont, has worked with major names in entertainment for years, recently composing the score for a production starring Glenn Close, Anne Hathaway, and David Ogden Stiers. A studio orchestra seems to be ideal for a production like The Miracle, ensuring that each instrument is perfect for every show. However, it takes talent like John Mark Painter’s to ensure the drive and emotion are maintained in the recording process .

The Miracle will feature angelic aerial battles, the creation of the world, and Old Testament Miracles leading to the miraculous birth of Christ. The story of Jesus’ life is told, focusing on the miraculous events surrounding his teachings, his death, resurrection and ascension. Live animals and the cast of more than 100 professionals will create an atmosphere of awe and celebration. The talented team of Cooper, Legg, and Painter will weave every element together with energy, beauty, intensity, and grace.
The Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group also owns the most successful shows in the Smokies: The Comedy Barn Theater, The Black Bear Jamboree Dinner and Show, and The Blackwood Breakfast Variety Show.
